reckon busababy its cos to many people play with it there knob
on most units with injection they have a base idle that all parameters are drawn from like throttle position and such,the ecu needs some base line to draw from change the base line and it sorta gets confused.So Id figure they remove the nob to stop the fiddlers. Just a guess I'm sure others could be more on the money <i></i>

You're 100% correct. The idle speed is the first and last adjustment made when doing a tune. <i></i>
