You can grind and modify the bracket to make it sit higher if you want, or fit it on the other side.I guess you,ll have to brace that rear alloy subframe with that resorvoir hanging of it now eh. Looks good. Now go and see biketek and do the forks $400 and you,ll have a different bike.Or come and ride mine and see for yourself, just don,t tell busgo you,ve tampered with it.

Good set of photos Pan.

@Glenn,
Why should I care if Pan fits a new shock.

He can afford it. He may not need it but he can afford it.

P.S. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use bricks to hold up your busa while you work on it.

They will eventually crumble and it will all end in tears.

"TAKE MY ADVICE"
I'm not using it anyway!

Glenn, I WILL look into doing the front end... that was always part of the plan...

We all "don't need" stuff like better shocks or brakes, but making the Busa handle better makes it safer for me. I see it like an insurance policy... If I never need it, it's still a good investment IMHO.

Also,

Ah, but I have reasonable faith in those that were working with me!

I guess when I started riding people said stuff like, "NEVER NEVER NEVER ride a bike... you will always end up having a serious accident...", though we know that risk levels depend on how much risk you take, which is why we were all EXTRA careful while it was on bricks... Sure, we could've put it off for a few more weeks and found another way to do it... but I could've also just driven the Volvo and never bought a Busa to start with...

I hear what you're syaing though and appreciate your concern... I promise that I'll never put it on bricks again, unless I really really really have to.

Cas, I'm putting the shock in the garage with all the other OEM spares... maybe to replace if I ever sell my Bus... why, do you know someone who may want it?

I just shaved 1kg off the bike by fitting rear sets that I got

from Grant. I have kept a record of what I have taken off

the bike........I just like to know what she is..Me and the bike

went 730pounds down @ Mackay last week end....still trying

to get her fat ass down to nice weight

Hey Richard, any idea how much postage is going to cost? To be totally honest I had offered to swap because I'd be helping out at no cost... Thought we would do a straight swap if we met down here at a drag meet one day...

Considering postage and packing price, wouldn't it be cheaper for you to buy a used one and sell the steel one?

Let me know...

As Bruce mentioned, he'd do a straight swap too, only I'd get him to do all the work while I sat back and had a few with Simmo... (and maybe steal some chromed bits off his bike when he's not looking ).

I will find out what it is going to cost when I get home and let you know. Most of the bits I get normally come from Metros
in Sydney so even if I pay for shipping both ways I will still be in front. I'll have a look at some wreckers in Brisy and see if they have one for a good price and work out what is the best way to go..........
