And yes I remember that and the ABC Orchestra playing the National Anthem every night at about 11pm.

Also Gidget, Doby Gillis and F troop.

Thats right. It was Leonetti, not Bennett, his name was Tommy Leonetti, not Tony and it was the Channel 7 shut down theme, not 9. Good heavens... the memory is going too !

Next I'll be wearing my undies on my head and my Pj's all day. Mind you, I was just a kid.

Bio : Tommy Leonetti - Achieved cult fame in Sydney, Australia, for singing "My City of Sydney" as station ID for Channel ATN7 television station. He also starred in station ID spots, admiring Sydney Opera House, skipping pebbles in Sydney Harbour, wandering around Kings Cross, etc.

I remember F Troop, but not the others. I wrote an ode to the busa to the F Troop theme song just before EzBoard had that enormous crash a while back. Unfortunately, it was lost (actually, that may have been fortunate !)

Hey Astro, are you coming to Bikefest at all?

Bikefest... I'd LOVE to be there, but its my kid weekend and I'm spending some quality time with my daughters... both of whom don't seem to have my compulsion for bikes. I did try to convince them it would be a great way to spend some father/daughter time but failed dismally.
