Attention computer boffins.... help needed please.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to download season 3 of Battlestar Galactica but I don't know where to do it and I have not used bit torrents before.. do I need to download software from somewhere??

I have 1500kb broadband and a 5 gig limit per month (which I can change if needed).

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. If you live in Vic I would be happy to shout you a drink....
Cheers,
Holge

no wukkin forries, Ive downloaded every episode and am up to date till tomorrows Sunday return of the series in the states.

Go to: tvunderground.org.ru/

when your file share program is opened click on webpage shows you want and press download the links to them will be automatically uploaded on your share program.

they seem to be offline atm, dunno why but keep trying. I use Shareza for file sharing as it uses emule, limewire, shareza and even morpheus users.

hope this helps let me know if not working out.

You should retitle this thread to "computer pirates" and delete boffins Holger.

A boffin can help you with a problem, a pirate can lead you to the hidden treasure.(and maybe get you into trouble)

Thanks again for the help Volvi... using emule. Very slow but getting it done. Are other programs faster or does it just depend on the server / providers speed?

Thanks again. Cheers,
Holge

yea I find emule a pain coz speeds are limited to credit system, I dont use it anymore. I prefer Shareaza which is not and can access emule and all the others. I sometimes get a combined speed of 180k instead of the 3k average emule provides.

tip; when connecting with shareaza connect to all networks as standard default gnutella 1 & 2 and the other one forgot what its called. thats 3 networks and possibly 5 connections (leaf's) same time, good that way.

I like uTorrent - if the tracker goes off line, uTorrent continues to work, as long as a peer is still up.

I use both uTorrent and Shearaza - but am finding latelly that neither is working well - It's taking forever to download anything.

Anyone else having problems (or have any good advice)? "Don't ride behind me, I just ate beans. Don't ride in front of me because your ass is huge. Just ride beside me so I can push you into on coming traffic."

i have heard bittorrnet 4.4.1 is an excellent version.
The person that uses it swears by it and has been using if for years without an issue.
ALLEGEDLY!

Also the latest version of Frostwire (Limewire copy but better) does torrents now too. Excellent interface too!

Pete

Bittorrent only works well with a healthy torrent, and only while a tracker is up - it stops without a tracker, and clags on torrents with less than 5 or 6 seeds...
