got all four plugs firing revs well with clutch out. clutch in has a miss when you hold on any revs between 2000 and 5ooo revs at idle its perfect with clutch in or out sounds strange to me any thoughts thanks

From the little technical knowledge I have, the clutch switch only allows you to start it. Wouldn't have anything to do with the way it runs, would it?

With a smart TRE installed, the idle increases slightly when you pull the clutch in, even in neutral ??? I have been told this is how you can tell the TRE is installed correctly . . . no idea how or why?? Idiot2
maybe there is an engaged clutch sensor to stop over reving??? (I've got less than no idea on these things, but if we keep it bumping along someone who does know will eventually answer! Lol3)

I would be thinking of looking at the stand cutout switch... Low revs might make enough vibration to trigger it if 1/2 stuffed and as pan said, the clutch won't kill a motor unless the kickstand is down

Easy check is to bypass stand switch with a wire and see if it still does it?????

Pan I only remember it vaguely but someone else had this problem ages ago like on the old board and I thought it was a knackered clutch switch

I reckon Tony (Batfink) is on the money...vibration causing the side stand switch to cut in and out. Bend the tab on the stand so it pushes the switch in further??...was a trick I did with a Bandit 1200 a few years ago.
