It was at least one month wait for them.
I'm always up for rides so if anyone wants a tag along, let me know.

The Michelins must be filtering back into the country. Bought a Pilot road 3 front from my local bike tyre supplier Tyres for bikes Cooroy. Getting the bike all prepped for my ride down to Tassie in Jan 2014.

Had no problem sourcing a pair of Road 3s in WA. I rather like them so far.

My 'busa is used every day up and down the gateway/bruce, 27,000km in 18 months. Got nearly 12,000 out of the original tyres, the pilot road 2's that went on are still on. Got heaps left yet, wouldn't use anything else.

Got 11thou out of road 3 rear.Prob got another 1thou out of it.But changed it to go to wardy at Easter. The road three fronts are abit rubbery.moved on some corners, over around normanville. When we where playing.Just fitted.donlop Q2s.for summer. Will put my half worn road3 back on rear. And Will road2 the front.not happy with 3s on front.Sort of let go on a couple of corners.Make the bum cheeks tighten up when that happens.Merry Christmas to all.

Have you considered running slightly lower tyre pressures in the Rd 3 some of the guys have mentioned to me that when you run the higher pressures in the Michelin Rd3 they do move around a little bit but as soon as you drop the pressure it changes everything & improves the performance and the bikes sits on the road a lot better. The other option which I do is run the harder tyre on the rear with a sports tyre on the front and I've found that it just gives you that little bit more feel in the front end and they seem to last quite well with that combo. I'm a big fan of that combo and I'm currently running the Avon Storm Ultra 2's on the Rear with a Avon VP2 Supersports and just love the feel on the front and the ride on the bike just awesome, mind you a Supersports on the front for street riding is a bit of an overkill but I just love how planted the front feels and is one of the best feeling tyres I've run. Anyway just food for thought regarding the tyres when running the harder tyres on the rear you don't have to have the matching pair how ever I do recommend the matching brand just different compounds from Rear to Front. |
