That is just what the privatisation of utilities means. Water, power, roads... Just wait when the globalisation will really kick in...
You can not blame them for being greedy though. They in it to make money and greed is apparently good. It is this f*&^ing government that sells the public over to them. They take you taxes, levies, duties, fines etc, give themselves the payrise and there is no money left to build any real modern infrastructure. So the privateers move in and then they want to skin you off to make their profits.
