Busa's are treated well in tassie. Looks recent
And they have no clue what it is. It says 1299cc like a gen 1 but it is from 2009. Perhaps a very rare prototype after testing???

have you contacted auction sites to see if anyone has bought a written off gen2 in the last month or so in Tassie as that person would have the key and ecu needed to get your bike running
clever idea really buy a stacked bike nice and cheap remove ecu and key steal good bike do a swap over and walla clean rideable gen 2 for next to nix
Cheers

Commiserations mate, really hope it turns up for you but, and I hate to say this, its probably been stripped down and flogged to the wreckers as the G2 parts, especially the motors, are in big demand at the moment. Just a thought, why don't you call up your local bike wreckers and ask about parts for your bike, the motor or frame would be best as you can get the serial numbers from the rego but even a fairing part might get you on the right track and you never know you may end up getting enough back for a rebuild.
