Lost licence-not fair
#1
A mate of mine lost his licence late last year. He bought an old Porche as he always wanted one and was caught doing 130/km/h in a 110/km/h zone changing to a 90/km/h zone coming back from Gosford to Sydney on the freeway just before the downhill run towards Mooney Mooney Bridge. Goes to court the other week over it, 1 blondie P-Plater who lost points for using a mobile phone twice and another princess P plater who lost points in a camera deteted zone get to keep their licences. My mate loses his for 3 months no leniency from the maggotstrate, needed his licence for work, and for medical reasons and had a few references but no cigar. Maggotstrate said cause he was caught speeding (15-30km/h) on average once every 3 years he had a bad driving record. All on the freeway!
Be careful out there...... I could not lose my licence for 3 months cause of work also, just like a lot of us here and the inconvienience.

A scumbag hits a woman and a her 5 year old daughter with no licence, kills the daughter and leaves the mother brain damaged. 6 months good behaviour. Gets caught driving again 5 months later, 6 months good behaviour. Not right and not fair, making fines off speeding and not dangerous driving is very wrong.

There is no such thing as "fair" or "right". I am still puzzled how people refuse to accept this simple fact of life. We have created this f*&^ing world we live in now. No amount of whingeing or complaining will change it. Sorry mate it is just the way it is.

Definitely agree that's the way it is, GILLARD is an example with the way she botched up this country. A lot of things arent fair, no doubt about that, but my mate owned up to the speeding in court, did not fight it and lie and get let off like a lot do, at least the maggotstrate took $300 of his fine. The other princesses were caught in built up areas, one on the phone the other speeding. That's not the way it should be.

Sorry don,t believe I had any control over creating this. Big insurance has the lobby power on this getting to Politicians. Does not matter who you voted for. Do not remember any party having a policy to increase fines and voting for them.
Not sure where you can find so much sympathy hope you are very cautious in your rides.

You are missing the point. There is an old saying - "If you can't do the time don't do the crime". The chain of events is like that: You speed, you get caught, you get f^c*ed. That is the deal. Someone got less for seemingly the same or similar offence - that's karma. No point crying unfair because these laws are not about fairness or equity, but about raising as much money for government as possible. So if one does not want to take part in this game, one rides cautiosly and when having an irresistible need for speed - books the track day. Biker
