engine noise

hi everyone, hope all are well and looking foward to chrissy,
i have a problem with my 2006 busa, at 2,000 rpm there is a rattle/buzzing noise,it is there hot or cold, go above or below these revs & noise dissapears, clutch in or out makes no difference, it has 40,000 ks. Has anyone else had this noise ?

Could be loose engine mounts or just a matter of elimination make insure everything is tight.

I had an 01 model that rattled, turned out it was the steering damper.

You'll just have to track your noise down though..

I have found the problem, it was a loose cam chain , have adjusted it, now its nice and quiet again, its a common problem apparently, anyway thax to everyone for their help

Not a common problem on the 06
was an issue on the early 99-00 but several recalls fixed it
the hydraulic assisted tensioner is pretty much trouble free

well it happened to mine ! The bloke that told me about it said it happened to his 06 as well at similar ks

I had a similar noise, turned out to be the crank shaft balancer. Read the workshop manual and it'll tell you how simple this little job is.
