Sorry to hear your loss that's why I ride OEM fairings. The little stone chips near miss graise marks make it custom to me.

I had my Naked Busa painted, just a single colour,
metalic blue, but I was VERY fussy about the finish,
and VERY fussy about the colour. The tank went back
to be re-done.
Just after it all went together I was chasing a GSXR1000
from Beaudesert to Boonha and got a fair sized rock
"BOINGED" off the tank. actually dented the tank!
Picked up a lot of scar's since and have almost worn
through the belly pan on corners.
I might not be quite so fussy next time....

2 weeks ago i went to pick up my fairings from this workshop only to find that all the stickers on the windows had been taken off and the door padlocked shit. I got myself in there to get what was mine only to find my fairings and tank very roughly rubbed back, draft design scribble all over them, and gouges out of the dash plastics from the tank sitting on them...
I take them to another workshop who offer to fix the mess, and today after only a week, get a rushed job that i still had to pay $1000 for, they have offered to re do the job but its not the point.
Ive given up on the bike, and am very keen to drop $4000 on buying all oem fairings and a new tank...
im getting the fairings put on tonight as the workshop cant fix the mess till late next week and all i wanna do is ride my bike.
im very depressed about the situation and so over it i dont know what to do, i guess im sayin it all on here cause im hoping some of you understand my pain cause my girlfriend and friends dont, they think its ok and i should just wait some more......im FUKING over waiting!
I had both sides and the nose cone done by a bloke of keys rd in Cheltenham back in 2009, came back as new for about $1600.00 which included some repairs, Ill drop in Monday as its on the way to work and see if he's still around and if he is Ill send in his details, in the mean time mate keep your chin up. If it helps I have a spare Chinese replica set still the boxes, bought them ages ago on a whim, your welcome to come have look, may get you on the road a bit faster
Sorry to take so long to reply, the company is Bike Magic, 03 9532 0626 11 Roberna St Morabin, just of Keys rd, as above, very happy with the work and cost, hope it helps.

I've had a few hits from rocks, dinged a few lights/indicators and panels,
its the downside to chasing sportsbikes. All my bikes now have radiator
guards, another lesson i learnt the hard way...
The dent in the tank got a Toyota "Hybrid" badge put over it,
I know its not a hybrid but it does have a lot of non-Busa bits on it
and I didnt want Suzuki or Hayabusa anywhere on it.
Its funny seeing who does / doesnt know what it is.
A mark on the tank isnt really a big deal....

I think the post you refer too Adamski was well intentioned but misguided, thanks all the same.
