Yeah Kev had my standard shock upgraded a few years ago by Terry Hay (Shock Treatment)

had an Eibach spring with Valving and a additional seperation valve installed all up was around $600 posted At the time I thought I may have needed an adjustable pre load set up but after running with this it has been very acceptable holds a good line even with my 120kg

I've got a shock if you need.
Replaced the on on my turbo with a ohlines unit.

I've read a Gen II shock is a good upgrade, will be trying it in my bike when funds allow.
Thanks guys I've got a flurry of offers but what I'm looking for is feed back as to if you had your stock shock re worked or went the route of a aftermarket unit as I'm doing a shit load of touring and want to up grade the handling package on my BUS

Depends on what you're looking for. I was after sharper handling so I've raised the rear end 25mm with different dog bones and added a Gen II rear shock. The Gen II rear shock raises the rear ride height slightly, so it depends on what you're after. I was lucky enough to get one with revalved internals and it's much smoother than the standard shock.
I think replacing a standard Gen I with a standard Gen II probably wouldn't make much difference, other than the Gen II shock probably being newer.
It also depends on your $$$$. Rebuilding the current shock with gold valves or the like will produce a noticable difference, based on my experience with the Gen II rebuilt shock.

End of the day Kev reguardless of who does your shock or what brand you go with UNLESS YOU GET THE CORRECT SPRING TO HOLD YOUR WEIGHT your wasting your time.
Its not set up in stock form to carry the full figured male let alone with a pillion in tow
Busa's yeah i guess i like them I've owned a few
