After the changeover to the new exhaust system, will the bike run normally, that is without harm before getting the whole thing flashed-tuned?
For exanple, if I ride the bike 2-3 hrs to the place where I might want it tuned, will there be damage done in that time? Will the bike run too rich/lean and cause havoc?

You will have no probs as it will be running richer than before system was put on. Even if it went lean (which I have never seen a busa do after being fitted with aftermarket pipes) Unless you chose a stinking hot day and flogged it without mercy would still do no harm as on the highway the bike is basically cruising at idle mode condition and no probs.

Had mine installed along with Power Commander & Filter in Feb, Still haven't had it tuned.
Wrd is its not required.
As faster said it just runs a little richer which is a good thing.

The word is not required would be a falesy .............. and to fit a system without a remap probably leads to less performance than before the sytem was fitted.
This "the word is " usually comes from bike shops that will sell and fit a system and don't have the means to tune so they say ................ it's not required.
Busas run rich in Oz then run even richer with a system and then that combined with a power commander fuel map thats built and based on US bikes = a mess as far as correct fuel mapping goes.
Rich or lean is not good as correct A/F ratio for given throttle and load conditions equates to a sweet smooth responsive bike to ride.
Not trying to flog anything here it's just the way it is

Thanks everyone, it's in transit now, I should get it in a few days.
I'm quite excited about it all! The most best thing is from the point of view of improved handling, from saving quite a few kilos...the rest is just a bonus.

You won't get the max performance if it's drowning in petrol Too Rich Isn't Fine .There is one Right & Every thing else is Wrong .Near enough is Never Good enough ,IMHO .

This is IT, all done. After getting the call from the PO that the my US parcel has arrived yesterday morning(Sat), I quickly called to tee up a fitting session with FasterFasterPete. He was most helpful and agreed to set a time for me immediately. Long story short, I just walked in the door after riding some 3 X 2hrs to his workshop and back. You might all want to know how it went and how the bike goes. Put it this way, Sonny Liston became Muhamad Ali!
So thank YOU PETE, for being especially patient in waiting for us to arrive and taking over your weekend. It's hopeless really, to try to explain it in words. The bike is a different animal and handles so much lighter(better), it's hard to believe that is, until you reach your regular urban tight corner.
I can say that it is a pleasure and a privilege to see a man who not only loves his work, but also takes care to get it spot on right. I now understand 1st hand, why people from all over send their bikes to him.
No need to say more.

Yeah, your right there Axe, I guess thats why they leave the factory like that . I'm a fussy old prick mate & set in my way's . They hammer that into you when you do an apprenticeship & old habit's die hard . Not trying to be a smart arse ,too old to change .
