The official tyre speed rating system ends with "(Y)" which is "over 300km/h" That is bloody big "over" to consider 500km/h. I guess you just have to trust in your luck and hope for the best Undecided

Bill is supported by Conti ,rules at the bitumen tracks are not as tough as the sat or dirt lakes, there not as hard on tires with better traction and limited accelleration time,
i just had to buy some 300mph rated tires for my salt bike ,not even sure how they will handle yet

That wobble under brakes, looks to be from contact with between fairiing and wheel ,looking at the worn off paint in Tonys pics.
Could be a simple run up to 250kph or so it seems that smooth in the vid :)

Bit of an update,
Bill crashed today at the Texas Mile,
well over 200mph but is ok, sort of
broken ribs, , lung, and severe road rash on his leg
Hoping he has a speedy recovery
