Well I know it won't be me :) I went to Willowbank last night and the best I could get was 11.1..... Lol

Even still, had a ball, and I have the excuse of being 120kg. Lol

We run stock clutch and springs, gen 2 and stock motor at 65 inches no clutch mod either 180 lb rider goes 1.38 bike weights 485 on mr12. That rider been 8.62 @162. Bike went 8.42 @161.44 with JT at Rockingham. Got 105 passes on the Michelin too. I put a couple fibers and steels in it every, like 20-25 passes. If your clutch does anything funny or just for mantence,bleed that sucker and check for air. Gave me a fit while back. Oh and stock shock at full tight top and bottom. Goodluck.

Thanks Mike, its the stock motor world record . Come on up to Mirock and make a pass on it. You featherweights are bad boys. That was 95 degrees and humit like you got right now. Looking for a 35 in the fall from Ryan. With stock wheels and full dressed with street pipe. BST's, lose 8 more pounds and good air what you think?

5.404 @ 135.04
7.035
8.423 @ 161.44

Hard to believe this is with a hand clutch. Both JT and RS are feather weights at 60kg + gear.

Do not intend to take anything away from these achiewements as they are truly very impressive. However if we talikng about the fastest Gen2 I must make a technical correction here. Strictly speaking the bikes from the drag strip can not be the fastest Gen2 Busas. They are with the HIGHIEST ACCELERATION rate over a 1/4 mile. That does not give a right to call it the fastest does it ? None of them I believe even gets close to their maximum speed when they need to hit the brakes. So strictly and technically speaking we do not know how fast is the fastest Gen2 busa that still looks like one. A while ago there was a post about one that reached 499km/h but it was only a busa based speed demon. Clap There, now you can disagree with me.

Quickest = ET

Fastest = Mph

This is used in context, when you talk dragracing you are refering to standing start 400m (1320ft).

When refering to Land speed for example, then Fastest refers to the highest speed reached over the amount of distance they have to run ie: 1 mile, 3 miles whatever.

Dragracing uses both mph and ET to measure vechiles and to set records.

I was waiting for BJ to bring somthing like this up.Lol2

I fully agree with you and this was my point that this is completely different category of records. Pi_thumbsup

Back to the original topic - does any one know what was the highiest speed reached (and reliably recorded) by Gen 2 busa? Of course with the speed restriction removed Yes
