+3 in the rear on my 2008

Does anyone else have a +3 on there Genll busa?
I have never messed around with gearing befor and has always had stock gearing.

Today i ordered new sprockets and new chain and decided to go +3 in rear and leave front stock.

How hard will it be to keep front wheel down going +3 in rear. I want more low-end torque but dont want the front wheel to come up.

Thanks guys.

It's a pretty long and heavy bike...I don't think you'll run into any trouble. I modified my previous bike much more aggressively, it had a shorter wheelbase and was a lot lighter.

Having said that, it's entirely down to your level of control, if you're a mong and snap the throttle wide f*&^ing open...well...you know :(

My gen 2 1441 is -1 front and +3 rear. Mainly for lane splitting on the daily M2 commute - it saves the clutch.

It lifts the front in 1st - 2nd - 3rd and gets very light in 4th when you hit it hard.

You'll be fine with just +3

Remember its 1441 and not your average busa......

Removing the ignition restrictions from the lower gears through flashing also makes the front end light. If need be I can retard your ignition settings even more than standard. That'll keep your front end down!

you know your speedo will be out, I changed the front on my K9 and it made quite a bit of difference. I got a speedo healer from the US which solved the speedo problem.

Your 1441 is insane. It was lifting in 3rd and 4th at about 9000rpm on the straight at Eastern Creek. That was with stock gearing, wasn't it?
