new rubber on the menu

Pirellis are no1 for feel, diablo corsa and supercorsa.Michelins grip as well if not better with no feel(pilot powers) and bridgestone 002 give better feel than michelins and slightly less grip than pirellis.Pirellis will give you the best feedback through the bike from my experience. For great road manners and grip plus a reasonable life expectancy, I can't get better rubber than Metzeller M3s.

I read somewhere that they are the same compound and pattern as DIABLO CORSAs, is that correct?

Apparantly Metzeller and Pirelli now have the same owners.

Quote:Like........hoot through a turn & note the speed at which she lets go, repair your bike, fit the alternate, hoot through the same turn &.
i agree that most modern day tyres all hang in there pretty good these days, prolly better than most riders, especially for road use,but what i was refering to was the profile of the tyre and the way it makes the bike steer.
They have very steep angles on the side and it makes the bike tip in quicker if you get my drift.

About as many bridgestone SPORTS tyres as you did

So at least 7 or 8 Rocketman?

You should know. I picked them up from your place.......

Spose those don't count due to the Sport/touring nature???

Yawn....................

Ive done a lot of ks on bridgestone BT14s and now on michelin HPX , the hpx is a good tyre to get ya head around the busa, great for a allround tyre but im going back to bridgies BT 14 front and mybe bt20 rear. On track a bt20 is a go as u can keep the heat to it

Correct weight
Its like you told me yourself, the std corsas are shit, but the super corsas.......well thats a different kettle of fish.
Well same goes with the bridgies, not that the 020 is a bad tyre,in fact i ran them all the time on my busa(good milage, reasonable grip),no probs, but the 002s,well they leave the 020s for dead.
Any excuse for you to post a pick of your blinged busa, hey by the way,did you end up getting rid of the number plate?

Giddy: All those tyres? You used them on your car too? You must really love 'em.

Now I'm a wuss and don't ride in the wet anymore, I have a soft tyre up front (Pirelli right now), and a tourer on the back, (Michellin at the moment).

Best set up for piddling around the road with the occasional blast.

See if you can get hold of a nearly worn out BT014 OR Metzeler M1 OR M3. They should give good traction once they lose their rounded profile.
I reckon my last M3 had another good 1000ks in it when I let it go.
