don't worry about the sprockets just wind up the throttle and drop the clutch that should do it.

What gearing do you have now mate. The easiest way to get more pickup is to drop one tooth off the front, go down to a 16 for a gen 1 or to a 17 front on a gen 2.
I run 16 - 42 on the gen 1 turbo and 17 45 on the gen 2 1441. Makes them both snappy You will also need a speedo healer to correct for any gearing changes.

There is a site called gearing commander.has all the info on all bikes including what the swing arm length is compared to stock, so you know if it will fit.

BTW, 16 on the front is the cheapest and definitely fits, makes a noticable difference. I think it actually makes the speedo more accurate, as they tend to read higher than actual from the factory.

If i go 16/17 - 45 will stock chain fit or will i need new chain sorry should do my own research but would rather get my info of guys i no

I ran 16/43 on standard chain no worries. According to gearing commander it is 9mm closer swing arm length. I think 16 45 would be pushing it , as it is 17.5 shorter than stock, and probably wouyldnt fit. Also it is probably too short a ratio for the busa.
I was very hapy with 16/43, and only recently needed a new chain. Decided to go 17/46 as it is the same ratio, and biger front sprocket gives longer chain life. 17 /46 with a 114 link chain (2 links more than stock gen1, same as gen2) is 8mm shorter than stock.

I dit it in stages, first the 16 front, then when that novelty wears off, the 43 rear.

The bike is a Gen 2 wich i think have a 43 rear ? should have mentioned it was my gen 2

I'd start with a 17 front and see how that feels.
I changed from a 17 to a 16 on my first gen 1, made it a nicer bike, puts the speedo out even more tho! Cheers

ive got 17/43 on my gen 2 and its more fun to ride, (wheelstands are more controlable but it comes up quicker) we have run 16/43 using the standard chain on the gen 2 as well but where using a shifter on it for the drag strip, extended and stock swingarm
