You may or may not believe this but carbon fibre does suffer from uv rays.
SP30 sunlotion is a good blocker and although I've never used it, it is supposed to work well on bits exposed to the sun.( I am referring to bike bits here ).

I do, as I said it already earlier in the thread. Plastic (I use the term in the broadest of senses) materials tolerate UV to varying degress, in fact a big item for tyres in storage is UV exposure.
