Myself, Moshy 7 , Mrs Moshy & Island drift Went for a Little Day Trip to Melrose To Check out some accommodation . They Have A Good size Bunkhouse which has 7 separate bedrooms & will sleep up to 24 people Depending on couples . It has separate mens/womens shower/toilet & a lounge /kitchen . Under cover parking for at least 20 bikes & an area for a camp-fire . For 10 plus people the cost is $20 each/night . Unfortunately the bunkhouse is only available on a 2 night basis.
The Main drawback is ,how many blokes can knock off early on a Friday so we could go as a group on the Friday, 3 hr ride . This would enable us to have a pub tea or BBQ on the Friday &
allow us to do a ride to Blinman,(600 km round trip )on the Saturday .There is a new (6mths old ) Sealed road from Wilpena pound to Blinman,Which I Have heard is a good bike road & worth a look. The bunkhouse is available for april 8 th 9 or the following w/end 15/16 But on the latter date Melrose will be packed due to an open air concert ROCK THE MOUNT Even Leo Sayer's is playing ,so my view is not that w/end ,but if any diehard Leo Sayer's Fan's ( If such a thing exists ) Must See Him we could.
I Know it's very short notice & if no one is interested or available we could maybe do it after Winter .If there are not enough numbers for the bunkhouse A Smaller group ,Could get cabins of 4 at an approx cost of $30/head & these are Available for single nights . WELL GENT'S ANY TAKERS OR OTHER SUGGESTION'S ? Oh 100 mtr to the close Pub 150 to the other .

I am interested in the ride...but not those dates. I like riding out that way.
Perhaps a trip after winter? Depends on dates for me though.
Greeny, me and Pete (multi coloured GheyBlade), will be up there Sat Arvo, and Sunday "am", see you at Lobie perhaps!
