HM Quickshifer settings

Just installed a HM Quickshifter on my bike. Followed the factory instructions but the default settings didn't seem to work very well. I had to increase the sensitivity to 75% and set the kill time to 80 miliseconds. Tested on the stand only so far (untill I am sure not to blow something up) and it seems to be working fine. Up and down through all the gears with no clutch.Scary Not sure how it will be on the road hence my question to these who have some experience with it. What settings are you use/recomend? Isn't the kill time too long?Idiot2

80 should be fine normally run mine at 60 but different brand may need longer kill time just try it and see how it goes if its to long it will just throw you over the barsScary

Thanks for the reply Jason. I had a feeling it was a tad too long. Dropped it to 65ms and will give it a try tomorrow.

You wont know till you try it at the track, on road is heaps different at lower revs
I run 80 in first 60 i think in second & 40 on the rest, that's via the ECU kill, fuel & ignition

The HM quickshifter works on its own independently of the ECU. No option for individual settings. One has to fit all. Will go on a road where you can rev it a bit to test Lol3 Thanks for a reply Pi_thumbsup

Andrew just for future ref from reading up on HM shifter they are a ignition kill only where you still shift lever with foot ? If so could have just flashed ignition kill into ECU .................. free with no after market fitting. Pi_thumbsup
If you then wanted an actual shifter could put a plug n play loom on and all still controlled and adjustable in ECU Pi_thumbsup
