Throttle Position Sensor

ss, sounds like choke cable adjustment needed. have tank up, slide choke open and close whilst looking at movement on right side under air box and see if it knotches/slides up throttle.

What "choke" cable.................. ROCKEEEEEEET

Aint it amazing Volvi. I've had 2 99 busa's with 85000 put on both of em. Every 10/15000 or so I (& others) used to get clogged regulator filters.

But not you............so what's your secret

Maybe the lean angles you achieve in corners is not enough to dislodge the gunk into the pump pick up

yer the choke cable turns into a fast idle cable just under the petrol tank. take the slack out of her and all will be OK

can sometimes turn into a cruise control cable when required..operator dependant Edited by: Gazza414 at: 1/9/06 6:54 pm

clean fuel rev? vewy vewy cwean fwuel. Raely if ever use country fuel and have been only using Ultimate since it was released. that screen has always been clear. dunno what the frak your putting in your tank (of course fuel lines must be changed as it releases rubber sedements when it wears down)

I suspect that a lot of the early problems with fuel filters may have been simply blocked or pinched fuel or vacuum hoses. I chased this problem all last summer and eventually found the cause.
However, in the process, I chucked away the regulator screen and that may have helped as well.

Yeah that would be right

Second rate fuel for the outer northern suburbs

Just like the second rate dog meat Coles tries to sell me

My filters were always chocka with what looked like fine rust particles

Volvi re TPS VOLTAGE is to be done at 1150 idle speed it will change depending on idle speed at the time
If you set it as I said and it's not ok then you have stuffed something up. Once again setting to voltmeter compared as to how you have set it with the dash method is like measuring something with a piece of string compared to a micrometer. Guess it depends how spot on you want it all to be ?

My hassle is the hand held tacho is kapput, so need a new one before setting mine again. FF1, getting another dyno run now with airbox mod, so will be interesting to see what changes he makes.

I hear ya Pete, will try again next time when adjusting, so if the rpm is right one shud be able to get 4.5 and 1.1 right? those the desired numbers?

Your after the closed throttle voltage at the correct idle rpm as this is the reference point all else works from!
Don't worry about WOT, without being able to measure air/fuel ratios at all rpm's , if the topend feels wrong once the idle is set properly its dyno time!!
