Warning ! What May Kill You On Your Busa
#1
Apart from all the drunk drivers on the road just like Julia Gillard's 5 times over the legal blood alcohol limit convicted drunk driver boyfriend who got off with no visit to jail & has just moved into The Lodge @ the ATP's expense - this may also kill you. ---- Steamin down the highway, suddenly me Busa felt like a Harley, arse went down and out---handled it, standin up on the pegs, pulled off the road. The rear mudguard was sitting on the back wheel. 15 kgs of weight in the Ventura, no pillion--lucky, never have one anyway due to all the drunks on the road. The Sub Frame Bolts directly opposite each battery terminal---Sheared all the way through !!!!
DANGEROUS MR SUZUKI---GET IT FIXED----RECALL BEFORE IT KILLS SOME MUTHA !
Replaced em with some high tensile 4WD suspension bolts cut down from an AWD center.

Replace those holy Suzuki Bolts before they kill ya. That is all.
Get the drunks off the road---Mandatory Jail Sentences For All Drunk Drivers & reduce our CTP Insurance costsWtf

Those two bolts look like they have been in and out more times than my little johnson Pi_tongue wich would slowly weaken the material over time

Scary Thanks for the heads-up bloke, I'll make sure to check they're integrity on a regular basis.....

Talking about weak bolts..... WTF do Suzuki make the clutch spring bolts out of? There I was replacing the BTL then when it come to torque up the clutch spring (pressure plate) bolts at the recommended 23 Nm, 2 of them just snapped! Scary So Greeny took me down to a fastners joint and I got 6 high tensile steel bolts and washers, Greeny knew the thread measurement that saved the bloke a lot of trouble so he just gave them to me.... This time I tightened them using the pinky finger torque method of holding the ratchet with the "devil sign" when my pinkie hurts it's tight enough. Lol3

All this gets me thinking it might be wise to relpace ALL the bolts, washers and nuts with high tensile steel?

What year Busa did these come from matey?

Just curious cos my ventura gets a hefty load regularly.

Plus, the missus uses it to stop from sliding off the seat.

Cheers

No point in checking on integrity. When they go....they go.
Cost $4 for the bolts

Read the post; "directly opposite each battery terminal".

Some say Mr SUZUKI makes them hollow (holy) to save weight ?
Some say they make em holy to increase surface area & increase tensile strength ?

Thats the price we pay for the fastest production bike...weight loss wherever its available. It never ceases to amaze me when the ads for new bikes claim weight reductions...esp the 600 sports machines...how much lighter can they make the bloody things??
