Can anyone recommend accomodation in Tamworth (pub/hotel/motel) with bike-friendly parking (undercover/lock-up would be ideal).

I stayed near the golf club, they were friendly and bent over backwards to help me. Really clean & quiet place. The golf club did an awesome meal too! It looks relatively new renovations there & the food was incredible!

After spending the first 17 years of my life there I can only recommend accommodation outside of Tamworth. Sorry.
What unfortunate event has you staying there?

Undercover parking is offered at the Golden Guitar motel at the southern end of Tamworth. Within 500m is a decent pub, Mcdonalds, KFC, BP servo with Subway. I haven't stayed there, but it seems quite clean and tidy. So far as I know, it is the only accommodation that supplies undercover parking in Tamworth.

I would however suggest you give Roydon's a look. Before I moved to Tamworth, that was the preferred choice of motel for my family.

No unfortunate event Leviathan (apart from spiralling into middle-aged depression)...just thought me & the missus would do an overnighter somewhere and neither of us have been to Tamworth.

Thanks for the tip Tristo....will look into both of those options...although heard the guitar is a bit pricey.

We may even change our mind and go to Mudgee/ Orange instead, but we'll see what grabs our fancy.
