Thanks Milesy. She's an '83. I bought her 17 yrs ago with 27,408Km's on the clock. I've only managed another 13,000Km's mostly because of prior licence loss. I am not stricktly a purist, I just like to think that as bikes become more personal, people forget what they looked like. Anyway, they don't have to be all tarted up to be ridden hard do they?!!

I love the old Kats, they were the busa of their day. Lucky bastard.

If we are showing off, here is my RGV250 trackie almost obscuring my busa. You'll notice mine are colour coordinated TOO!! Because of the perspective, the RGV looks HUGE!!!

Shouldn't leave them in the rain like that Heidi, they get water on them judging by the droplets!!! You have seen the Busa, and I have seen the RGV at Eastern, but would like to see your Busa maybe at the Parra AHC gathering when I get the chance. Missus has broken leg making that weeks away for me but I will get there. Cheers

Nice pair, so how do they compare?
I'd really like a Kat, but do you still enjoy riding it after the 'busa??

Thanks mate. I have not ridden the Kat for almost 2 years but the Busa is more comfortable, fun and predictable. The Kat footpegs are further back, the reach to the bars is longer and the bars are narrower. As bikes go, you wouldn't ride a Katana if it weren't for sentimentality. But it is still a respected and appreciated bike.
