Brissy to Biloela Overnight Bash 3rd/4th July

Arrived in Sydney on Wednesday, have worked for 2 days, had enough already and don't even have my bike to go for a ride. Wish I was going with you, have a great trip and I cant wait to see the pics ;-)

Well an awesome day was had by all!! I think everyone had their little "moments" and it started off a little damp but all in all was very enjoyable. Good to be home back in Biloela and good luck to everyone heading back down south tomorrow. Hope it isn't TOO cold for you

So how was it people? Grant - sounds like you did the smart thing when you arrived home, but what of the popsicles that rode the return trip today?

It was cold enough when we turned around to complete the day trip yesterday. I was thinking of you all heading further west with that icy wind......... and laughing to myself !!!!

"moments" like that I can do without. 235Kg of B-King and my 100kg completely airborne. As Shredder said later that night "it is all part of the experience". It's also seems to be part of the experience to push start a few Hayabusas in the morning . Fortuneatly all problems solved . Bit longer route for us coming home via Gin Gin and Biggenden. That is a great section of very quiet road to Mount Perry. Did our planned shortcuts off the main roads which was good even with the short dirt sections. 1360k round trip for me. As for the 1 degree start to the day , by the time we surfaced and got all the bikes running it was still very nippy on the way down to Monto but warmed up after that.

What can i say really it was another CRACKER
yes there was a couple of issue's ( nothing we didnt get sorted)
yes it was a bit cold ( harden up )
Yes we run some old fav roads & some new interesting ones.
yes we all had a blast & laughs
WE ALL HAD A BLOODY GREAT TIME / Adventure

wasnt really worth it Tim being a sunday & there was a lot of the blue boys around the area as there was a few big road trains moving through there we didnt go without tho like everyone that stayed home

Woke up looked out the window and nearly went back to bed. But managed to drag myself into my leathers and after giving the dogs and cat a quick feed and pat, it was off to the servo. Must say the boxer puppy didn't look too happy as we had only been back for 2 days and we were off again!! So after greeting Pa, Shredder, Scott & Sharon, Tim, Fred, Andy, Jason, Shayne, Wayne and a young man on a GSXR whos name escapes me, we waited for ....... Yep Mechanx. Well he showed with about 2 minutes to spare. Of course he had been doing other things, him being newly wed and all. Congratulations buddy, I hope baby doesn't have your sense of timing or lack thereof. I think we may call you the "Wascally Wabbit". We finally set off and picked up Russell at the BP (you can never have too many people with the same name you reckon???) and set off. Morning tea at cold Kingaroy where I managed to locate a Dick Smith to buy an SD card for my camera which when I put it in didn't work anyway. Grrrr. Shredder, Wayne and the rest of the crew caught up with us. An electrical problem had delayed them. After 2 pies (yes they were that good and 3 weetbix doesn't hold me for too long) and a coffee we were off again to our next stop Munduberra. At least it was warmer there and the coffee was much appreciated. Off to Bilo on some interesting roads where getting some air gave that turn of phrase a whole new meaning. One corner was a bit tricky and thanks to Tones awesome Ninja riding skills we came out of it ok. Woe befall anyone who didn't have great skills on that road but that being said you only need to go as fast or slow as you want. Unless your pillion is kidney punching you whereby you go slower Mr Burgess!!! Next time it will be hands over your eyes. We made it all safe and sound which was the main thing and lots of fun was had. The Settlers Inn put us up for the night and after eating way too much (agian!!) it was time to hit the hay. Got up at 6:15 am ready for breakfast and at 7:00 am we (Wascally Wabbit and us) set off back home. Monto was were it was time for a change of gloves for Tony and Wascally. Me I didn't bring any so whos the toughest now huh? I actually got tones Mid season ones at Eidsvold so not really that tough. Anyway set off again when we see Mr Plod coming the other way. Next thing I know we are heading down a side road. My poor husband, has an instant "lets find the nearest side road" reaction whenever he sees them. Not that we were speeding or anything. Ok 10 minutes later we made it to Eidesvold for a stop and walk around. Wascally left us and we were going to meet up at Nanago but we had stopped in Goomeri instead and after sending Wascally a text for him to carry on we set off only to stop in Kilcoy for a walk around. Our final stop was at home at about 2:30 pm where there was much rejoicing from our puppies we were home.

Thanks to everyone for the great company and big thanks to Shredder for organising the whole thing. Next Bilo I should hopefully have one of my 2 bikes on the ride. Although I suspect I will be riding at a sedate pace.

Hi all spewing I couldn't get there been sick for over a week with Bronchitis and now Bali belly (if you know what I mean) great way to start holidays... sounds like it was an enjoyable ride had by all, hoping to get in on one soon.

Was a good weekend riding in spite the cold. 1350klms for me, my butt certainly felt it lol

Thanks Shane for organising. Looking forward to the next one, hopefully I wont leave it so long between rides.
