power restriction

dose anyone know if the early model busa's like my 99 have timing retardation in the lower gears, like later model bikes do ???. any info would be much appreciated. cheers..

Nah carny,

that's the true beauty of our '99 (real) 'busa's Yes............the powers that be realised that us '99 & '00 riders can handle the sheer brute force of the mighty 'busa totally unfettered & unrestrained Pi_thumbsup
..........as opposed to all the masses of sissy riders ('01 onwards) that need to be restrained, oppressed & limited.........all for the sake of their own health & well-being !!! Pi_tongue

HAHA!..... but seriously, i didnt know if they were,as im new to susuki's, i have only just bought my first hayabusa, i know 2000 zx12r's are totaly unrestricted as i crashed mine 8 months ago, high side'd it due to wheel spin in first peg, and broke my collar bone and wrist, hence i just made the choice to cross to the other side and bought my 99 hayabusa, so far im mega impressed with it. cheers

I thought they were all restricted in the lower gears and the 99's were unrestricted in the top gear only...?

Cant see the point for a track bike mate. It's either in the right gear or not the number is irrelavent.

If you have time to read the gear display on the track then your going too slowPi_tongue
