Mate, im going to tackle the frame and swing arm, and see how it goes from there. Was going to do the rearsets as well, but they might get a bit lost in the shiny black, so they might end up black.

Probably not doing the wheels at the moment, due to them being too hard to keep shiny, so all black they will stay.

Wouldn't the ceramic finish be like paint ?

mate the swingarm is gonna give you nightmares getting into those tight corners is an absolute prick but the frame is the end of sanity to do it properly the motor needs to come out and basically the bike totally stripped

I have been there and done it all i did it the easy way I payed someone to polish everything for me then the cleaning and upkeep is horrific it does look cool and nice and everything but you will kick your self in the end

good luck with it all

Hey Andrew, have you got your rims back yet ? and when do we see your new paintwork ?

When I had mine painted, I was quoted 1 week, but it ended up being nearly 7 ! I thought that I would never see the panels back, and was starting to think about a Busa streetfighter...........but then the phone rang !!!! Yee Haa

I wont pick the wheels up until the 14th of march. I didnt want to rush him and Im waiting on some other things anyways.

Paint should have been ready late last week or early this week. BUT i went to the paint supply shop on saturday trying to get the colour in a pressure pack for smaller items I want to do myself. The guy informs me the paint isnt available as yet, (its a 2010 holden colour) And a guy (my painter) is also waiting on the codes to be sent from head office.

So im not sure. Im hoping in 2 weeks it will all be back and the bike almost ready. I cant stand looking at the thing at the moment.

I heard a rumour Unit....and it involved the colour green!!! Did I hear right, or is the rumour mill making it up as it goes???

yeah its going to be green. I figured its a colour you dont see too much on a busa. If you imagine a jaffa gen2, the green is everywhere the orange is so its still follows a standard colour scheme and likewise with the tail standard layout.

And no, its not kawasaki green. as far from that as i could get. lol

Dont be dis-heartened while shes apart. Grab some polishing cloths and start "blinging" up some of the alloy. It will be a very shiney Hulk !

On a quick note.... is your battery disconnected ? if not, there could be nothing worse than eagerly anticipating that first ride after the build, and......... click........nothing Pi_freak Been there and, Doh !

Yeah it's disconnected. I had to extend all the wiring to fit the new tail. It's ready to be all connected but there's no point.

All I have to do is fit the braided lines before the panels/tank and wheels are ready.

I'm not as keen as you, I dunno where to start polishing..

Ok Ok, everybody was right. What a shit of a job. My bike is in 248 pieces, the swing arm is a mess, and I am now wishing that I didnt even think about doing this job Idiot2 only problem now is, I cant leave it like this, so soldier on I will go.....or pay !

I was going to post up progress pics as I went, but everyone would have forgotten about it by the time its finished, and I dont need any reminders of the mess that I have created.

Oh well, Im off back down to the shed.
