BLOODY HELL! It hasn't rained in Canberra for a LONG time, and tonight it was enough to limit visibility and bring all the detergent to the surface. The road was white with foam. I was all over the damn road, I kept losing the front tyre and my braking was three times as long. Tomorrow morning I'll go out and check, but I'm sure it wasn't the tyre, it was the road. In the end, every time I passed another sports bike, I could see the whites of their eyes while they were out like stalks.
That was NO FUN!

I'm starting to wonder if there is something wrong with my front tyre. I lost traction FAST on the front leaving a course last week and nearly went down in a screaming heap, but I went back for a look and there was gravel on the road, fair enough. For some reason, something in the back of my head has made me wary of pushing the front too hard for two weeks, there was the rain early in the week where the front let go every time I turned right, and I nearly had an off this morning turning right.
SOMETHING IS GOING ON. I've checked the air pressure and that's not it. The wear is FINE, they are all but brand new. Something is wrong.
Check the steering head, wheel and swing arm bearings. Problems in the back can sometimes be felt in front so check both wheel bearings.
Right oh. Whatever it is it is, it kicks in while I am in the apex of a corner turning right, just as I hop on the power. It feels like oil on the road (sudden loss of traction for a moment). I'll check it out this weekend while I have some daylight.

Dumping the clutch at 7,500 rpm in first in the middle of an Apex after just taking off will do it, do u notice sunshine or clouds?!!

Thanks. If it is the bearings, I don't want to find out halfway up the mountain at Tathra! Thanks for the offer of a jack, I wasn't ENTIRELY sure how I was going to get the front wheel off the ground. For a moment I was wondering about throwing a line over the scaffolding in the roof of the shed and hooking her up..... but that probably wouldn't work. Then i was thinking about a couple of housebricks and Anthony Tan.... but that is fraught with peril.

Just had the front wheel bearings replaced in mine - guys did it when changing tyres. Had quite a bit of play but I hadn't noticed 
The noise from the front that I had previously been ignoring is gone now though 
No noticable handling problem for me, but hope it's something simple like that. Nothing worse than having that in the back of your mind, and concentrating on that.
PS. Might be just me, but wouldn't be looking for too much advice from the dogs.
