Anniversary Ride Update #2

Well I hope everyone is getting ready for their trip away and that the Bike is set to go as we are only 5 weeks out from the ride.

Some of us guys got together last night to go over some small problems that have cropped up and we have made some minor changes regarding the ride.

In total we have 33 people joining us for the ride which means we have a combination of bikes. We have 21 Busas, a B King, a couple of Gixxer Thous, a 1098 and a BMW joining us on the ride. I hope you Gen1 riders donâ€t feel too out of place as there is swag of Gen2â€s LOL.

On the Saturday we have 32 people meeting up to enjoy the ride on Saturday & Sunday, at which stage 5 people will then be heading home. We then have one guy joining up with us somewhere on the Sunday, which still needs to be organized at the moment.

So up to date the Accommodation is paid for and we have filled 7 Chalets on the 1st night and 6 chalets on the 2nd night at the Karri Valley Resort.
Each Chalet has 3 bedrooms, 2 rooms have a queen size bed in and the 3rd room has a set of bunks so I hope there are no issues with people sharing. I have attached the arrangement for the Chalets but if people want to swap around and so on please organize that between yourselves.
The arrangements in the Chalets may change closer to the date, as one of the Couples that was going has had to pull out due to work commitments, but there is still a slim chance that they may still be coming. I will worry about this later if it happens.

I would like to thank everyone involved with there part and getting their payment to me, as it was a painless exercise from my part, as there was no issues whatsoever collecting the money, so once again a big thanks.

Ride Information

Meet Point (Has Changed) – Rockingham Foreshore at the end of Patterson Rd / Railway TCE in the car park near Sunsets Cafe & Bistro

Time – 0730 – this will allow for us to have photos done before hand.

Leave – 0830

Can the Local guys try and get there between 0700 – 0730 as we can get your photos out of the way before everyone else turns up. We are planning to take photos of individuals and their bikes and then a big photo of all the Busas lined up in year which will take some preparation hence the reason why we would like everyone there by 0730.

NOTE: Can people please ensure that they have a full tank of Fuel when they get there or at least enough fuel to get to the 1st fuel stop where there will be opportunity to top up for those that need to.

Wendy will be at the meet point with the Ute and has offered to anyone interested if they want to offload some gear (One bag per Bike) from their bike for the ride down and back in the ute.
People will need to remember though, that this space is also limited so it doesnâ€t mean bring extra gear.

NOTE: For the Riders can everyone please bring something to go under there side stand just in case we need to park on soft ground over the weekend.

Anniversary Lunch

We will be making a booking at the Saracen Winery at the Duckstein Brewery for Lunch on the Sunday to celebrate the 10yrs of the Busa.

Saracen Estate – www.saracenestates.com.au

Duckstein Brewery – www.duckstein.com.au

Food Arrangements

I have handed over the food money to Andcad & Wendy who will be doing all the food shopping on behalf of the group, and then carting it down in the Ute. We will be providing Breakfast for Sunday and Monday and Tea on Saturday & Sunday night so we will be looking for some team work to make the meals happen each day.

Contact Details

Iâ€m in the process of putting together an Emergency Contact List just in case of an unforeseen event of any sort, if we need to contact anyone we will have these Details.

It would be appreciated if those people that havenâ€t provided their details as yet if you could forward this information through to me and I will put your details on the list.
This is more of a precaution than anything else.

If for any reason anyone needs to be contacted during the Ride, here are a couple of contact details for people to use. Please bear in mind that there is no mobile coverage at the resort itself. Wendy Harris (andcads partner) has also provided her mobile as she will be traveling in the Ute, which will be easier for anyone to contact for those reasons.

I will forward those details through by email.

Photo Shoot

As mentioned, a Photo opportunity will be happening on the Saturday morning so it would be appreciated if everyone could be at Rockingham on time.
Currently we have the following year Busas coming on the ride.

1999
-
2001
-
2003
2004
2005
2006
2007
2008
2009

If anyone knows of someone that might be interested in a Photo Shoot and knows someone with a Busa that has either a 2000 or a 2002 but not coming, see if they would be keen to bring their bike down for the Photo Shoot.
We may have both a 2000 & 02 but this will be confirmed closer to the date.

Cheers Kevin (Rev004) look forward to catching you all there..

Well Dove Rev.
That was a good imformative read.
I just want to stress that please be mindfull of the gear you are carrying and not rely on filling Wendy's ute. Bearing in mind she is carrying all the food & drinks as well as Andy & her gear.

Let the Madness Begin.

Unfortunately, i'll only be arriving back in Perth the night before the ride, I will however try to turn up for the photo shoot in Rockingham.

We are now approx 4 weeks out from the ride so hope all you guys and gals are preparing yourself for what we hope is a very good weekend.

Unfortunately it looks like GasGaz & Katie may not be coming on the ride someone decided to bring a shutdown forward on Gasgaz and is on the weekend of the trip. They both might be a slim chance so lets hope so we don't want then missing out on all the fun. I still reckon Katie should get the Busa out and come anyway and that way she will still enjoy the weekend.
On the up side Hayabuasvich now has one of his mates coming on a Kawasaki ZX9 so the Accommodation has now changed a little with me now having to get an extra chalet to make sure we accommodate everyone. I want to make sure that we are a little more comfortable and not all crammed into the chalets so once everything is updated I will send another copy out to everyone.

The Photo Shoot is now 0730 at the meet point in Rockingham which hopefully everyone knows now. One word of caution though there is a camera that over looks that area of the foreshore that as a direct feed to you no where so be on your best behaviour if you no what I mean.

I would like to thank Roo Boy for organising the shirts and all I can say is that no one will be disappointed they look great everyone will see them in the next couple of weeks.

Just an update in regards to the meet point.
I have been in touch with the City of Rockingham and their Senior Ranger who has given the all clear for us to meet and Park on the paved area overlooking the ocean. We all just have to be mindful of any pedestrians. He will be sending me a email to confirm the agreement.

I should have all the t'shirts by November 20 and will bring them to the Mocha night at the Dome in Northbridge on the 24th.
Make sure you have given Rev004 all your emergancy contact details.
Can't wait.

I think we should give our anniversary ride a name and after Franko's t'shirt design we should call it the "World Domination Tour".

On another note, for those heading to the meet point from a northerly direction, there is "Peak Service Station on the corner of Patterson Rd & Ocean St approx 8 km's from the meet point if you want to fuel up there. It's just after the Kwinana Beach Rd Turn off.

Can't wait to get Dominated
