Sunny day & me stuck inside the office at work on the puter.

That's a change hey!!!
Dog got spoilt today.

vitamins, but mainly supplements for her ageing (dis)gracefullly....

Glucosamine & chrondriotin for her joint health.
got another liquid supplement.
She wolfed it down, sigh - not a waste of money!!!

She got a new TV watching snooza - doggie futon mat to lie on..

Wanted one I saw in the pet shop all shiney and soft and new... but at $200 - wow!!! I didn't impulse buy - yet!!!

Not bad for a 15yr old poochie cattle dog.

Next on the list is finding a pet alternative therepy (acupuncture or chiro) just to keep her going good... that's tomorrows phone call. Pet shop gave me number.

Lucky ol pooch!
Go hard, or Go home!

You won't be leaving the recruit school grounds for a few weeks bigfoot, unless you're getting your head shaved, going to size up your kit or feeding your head at the scran hall. And then, even if you do see a Busa on base it'll be a bit hard to check it out whilst your marching in your squad with your PO screaming out "LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT" at the top of their voice.

haha, fun times ahead me matey Lol2

Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.
yeah thanks fellas!
Don't let the first few months put you off Nick.
It will be all worth the pain and emotional stress once you are in the fleet.
The world will be your oyster and self esteem will be right up there.

They don't have bikes on basics butthere is always life after "Rookies".
Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!
I was gonna say "keep ya head down and arse up" Bigfoot, but given where you're going there's really no need. But seriously, stay in line and you'll be fine...in a previous life (in the RAAF) we had a Corporal who used to yell "LOY, LOY, LOY ROY LOY" on marches instead of left, left, left right left, (say it out loud as it's spelled above and try not to laugh)...we had to deal with this clown every day but didn't dare laugh at him.
I would even bet that when they do finally let you off base/ship, you won't go near a beach...you'll head for the country coz you'll be sick of the sight of water!
hubs impaiently waiting for his new muffler to turn up.a leo vince..exxy bit of gear:S
he,s heading to phillip island in two weeks with mates..look out the grid girls..

i cant wait for his muffler to turn up too,,well worth the wait.
Today was "Snake Day" for us. First sighting of the season. My place adjoins a National Park and there's a reserve between myself and my eastern neighbour as well... which seems to be prime mating territory.

We didn't get much sun today so I wasn't expecting any ill-natured 1.5 metre visitors on the reserve (which is elevated, so ground level on the reserve is chest level on my driveway)... but as I was heading over to the Otto Bin to toss out some trash... there he was... big male red-belly. Surprisingly fat for this time of the year so the feed must be good. Sunning himself about a metre beyond the bin. I stopped a few metres short of the bin. He raised his head... which put him at eye level with me.... made that noise I find hard to describe... but conveys a message along the lines of "F@#k off... I'm not in a good mood!". At about the moment I decided to slowly head back for the house, he decided to slither away into the bush along the eastern side of the reserve and down the hill. He was soon followed by a smaller female that I hadn't seen... she was further away. About 5 seconds later he was down on my level... motoring towards the bush. Those things can really move when they want.

I've lived here for 7 years so I'm kinda used to it, but it freaks my kids out big time. They wouldn't even get into the car about an hour later until I'd inspected underneath it.

Normally we don't see them unless it's mating season. Going to be interesting around here for the next month or so.
