That's the reason I sold the dodgy units to you DJ!
Just kidding Mate!
I can notice the faintest glow in total darkness with my new ones. I just don't think it's a big deal. (Unless they are brighter than a faint glow?)
Now pump up the doof doof music and chill Mo Fo!
P.S. I still want your spare flasher can! Hand it ova!
Or I can swap you a dodgy fuel pump filter for a replacement set of led lights?
Cheers,
at next coffee if ya like gydy.
well i reckon mine are a little more than a slight glow.
u can see em on a fair bit away from the bike.
ohzone has the simplest idea so far..will try soon.
stay tuned..i know everyone is on the edge of their seat for this one... Cheers,

That's right, must less voltage required to make tyhe LEds shine, that's why the resistor in the first place. Well, really it's much less current that does it.
I think it's worth a try.
Makes a huge difference to have really squeaky clean battery terminals too. Any extra resistance there makes the rest of the gear see higher voltages slightly.
So How did you go with it? QUOTE: Lack of power has caused more failure than lack of intelligence or ability.

saga continues...
I tried to take off the old flasher to go back to stck but now the terminals have a bit if solder in them so don't spring back in so can't do that.
I was told that could also be just that the wires are near high voltage wires like lights etc so will try to move away from them.
I will have to remove the rear cowling again...faaaaaaaaaaark... Cheers,
Pete

Faaark DJ,this is bigger than ben hur.
Lucky im not paying you by the hr to do mine. Phuck its the phantom!
DJ: Not sure what you mean but when I fitted my LED rear indicators I had some spare OEM's lying around so I took the stock wiriing connection out of them & fitted them to the new LED's.
That way I can swap them back to stock using the standard connector without unsoldering wires.

Rev,
I was talking about the wires to the flasher.
I did the flasher mod as Gdy just did.
I'll get there...hard to get motivated at the mo... Cheers,

Took the front cover off again yesterday and had a good look...the can is not near any high voltage wires or anything...took the flasher out of the tiedown and had it away from most other wires...still same prob...might have a look around the back near rear indicators one day....beginning to think I will just have to put small resistors in line for each indicator.
Now I'm getting outta here and going for a blast around the block...or should I say stroll... Cheers,
Pete
