We stayed at Tathra, on the way back from Phillip Island last year, at the local pub. It has a fair sized motel joined onto it, two storeys of rooms accommodating various amounts of people. Pub is good and has a good bistro. You would need to enquire as to how many it can cater for.

Yep, I LOVE the pub. We are anticipating we have too many people for the pub though, so we are looking at the caravan park down the road. They have a courtesy bus that runs up to the pub and back and we can fit HEAPS more people down at the park. Also, they have ann outdoor cinema screen, Busdriver is thinking about pulling out all his old movies.

The Canberra Mob

The Canberra Crew (Max, Heidi, Busdriver) did a run down to Tathra this weekend (8 & 9 Aug) to sus it all out.

We checked out the various accomodations, the pub and some of the roads.

Heidi did take some nice pics I believe, which she will be posting here.

We stayed at the pub, but I think we were all in agreement that the caravan park on the beach has the bestest cabins, and a very very short walk to the beach. If you don't like salt water, the park has a swimming pool. Depending on the numbers attending, the caravan park directly over the road can handle the overflow in some lovely Polenesian style cabins. The cabins on the beach sleep 4 (or 5 if you are willing to share the double bed). ceiling fans and aircon. Parking areas between the cabins are paved so your stand won't sink in overnight.

Max is planning a nice loop for a ride. But there are plenty of short rides as well if that is your thing.

Remember, you will need to slip, slop, slap for this years event. And bring your togs.
