wow work today!!!

Arvo shift... got called out at the start of my lunch...Never got back till after 9pm.
Was return a nurse escort to the hospital when I wondered why the roundabout and road ahead was blocked up with traffic.. creeping along, looking, hmmm is that a little dingle up there???
Man (not copper) directing traffic, sees me in my fluro bus...and does the BIG arm wave at me... hmmm no jobs getting called on radio.
Hoon the short distance with lights on, yep dingle.... ah crap motorcyclist on ground... Throw the RN gloves with the line 'wanna come play' & I call job in.

Legs been bleeding... Mate (partner) open that pants up.....

Look - again - ah f*** its near off.... WOrst was I was working as a lesser skilled crew (no morphine, no 'real play' kit) Only basic drugs and my pain relief just won't do it today. Anyhows grab the juice it'll do till my friends arrive.

Informed the comms - its amputated. That should make my friends drive pedal to the metal....

Did everything, but poor fellas leg was too messed up. I got my other drugs and made him feel a hell of a lot better before we got to hospital. Apparently I did real good... all things considered.

So now when I pack my kit, I pack the other 'toys' - still can't carry the Morphine - YET.

So how's was your day at work???
Night all..
Almost midnight.
