Think it comes down to the day you pay your fine...not the day you were booked

See the thing is on the Warning notice you get it states the date of offense and the demerit points attached to the offence.

So I guess I will wait for a reminder, then pay hoping it is far from the date as possable, rip out the 1340cc motor, fit a vespa motor and go to and fro from work for the next 12 months riding under the speed limit.

While I am at it, I am picking up my Monaro I just bought next week. I will rip out the 5.7 and fit the 1340 busa motor. That is what I call recycling.

Mate it should start from the date of offence & expire at midnight the day before 3 years later.
A good example is when I am working out rents - If someones rent is due & paid on a Friday and they pay 1 weeks rent then this pays them up to Midnight of the next Thursday making their rent due again on the Friday.
So if you got done on the 1st June you should get those points back 3 years later at midnight on the 31st may Nerd

From memory i think they add a day actually. And the points are based on the date of offence and not the date of payment. If you delay payment that useto work but they fixed that loophole. So all you are doing is delaying when the suspension period commences. Its very easy to build up a very deep seeded hatred of the rta as they really are a law unto themselves and courts may quash fines and suspensions but i,m yet to see them overturn a loss of points, despite what expensive lawyers will take your money to tell you.Hows it go(Ive never heard of that ruling before,my bill is $1500).My best suggestion is to change from within, and change your environment of exposure.See you at the drags.Very Happy.Trust me,getting to do 250+ 4-6 times a week really does reduce the desire to speed on the road. Now if i cant go each week i just pull it to bits and work out how to make it go faster, lol.

You don't have to worry about swapping the gen3 donk out of your monaro, probably have a hard enough time doing the speed limit, so I can't see how you would break it Lol3

Oh...then again, swap it out if you want a reliable holden Pi_thumbsup

Yes Yes Yes.
This must be the answer......I am attempting to change from within. No one will ever want to ride with me ever again. Hell I bet I can ride the "Old Road" and never ever get a ticket. Because you see. I have seen the light. THE SPEED CAMERA IS NOT THE ENEMY,ITS MY FRIEND.(Is it obvious I am going NUTS)...
To Hell with it. I will take my chances.....

had a mate who was in same situation - RTA guy told hime to wait a week before paying the fine - sure enough he ended up keeping a point and riding it through istead of losing license - dont pay the fine until 2nd reminder you should be ok
