I'll pick that up Heidi. I'll get in Dantheman's ear and see if I can get the info out of him then run with whatever we can. Do people mind putting up hard earned dosh for insurance etc? I'd throw a couple of hundred bucks at it just toi get the old girl going really hard and legally.

Good weather, good woman, good road, good bike, good-bye!!
guys ummm keno77 said he would do some research for you.
since he in the living distance would he be of use?
he is a top fella and rides quite quick
he is the local guy of knowledge
Count me in Max. You may have to spell it out clearly for those not in the know, hard to make a commitment for cash if they dont know what for.

We are looking at hiring a local small airport so we can do some straight line high speed runs. There are protocols to observe and numerous obstacle to overcome. if we can get Tathra we have a high likelihood of getting a local aerodrome.
Nice thought aye!
If I can get some assist from Dantheman, I'll do my best to turn this on for us.

To put things in perspective, a 400m dragstrip has a clearly defined shutoff point & at least 700m of shut down length, ie about 1100m in total length. Merimbula airport has a runway length of about 1600m. Local aerodromes may be shorter again. Might not be worth all the effort.

Effort may well reward Chris. Dan has the lengths of the airports we were looking at (he builds them). I'd rather give it a try than just write it off as "too hard".
Watch this space.

ive sent an email to my work colleague down in bega asking if he knows of any good places to stay/ go/ drink etc and waiting to hear back
id be interested in having a run on an airstrip- not something you get to do every day and speed minus police equals good. blackzooks right- money would depend on what the conditions of use are. if i got there and didn't like what i saw i wouldn't run it, but would probably be unhappy if i had to pay up front.
if someone can let me know which airstrip is being considered i will try to check it out in a fortnight when im down there (without trying to spoil any surprises if there are any)
Ludicrous speed- go!
How about I give you a call? I'll PM you my phone number, online takes too long.
Cheers
Heidi
