the old u turn in front of you trick
#1
yep happened again Pi_freak- car did a u turn in front of me out on the open road. man this happens so many times where someone pulles out in front of you, cuts you off etc etc. i was diong 100-105ks and this little blue car was parked on the other side of the road. As i got closer i saw the wheels start to move and f#@$%^^k me she does a u turn right in front of me and cut me right off. Lucky had enough time to brake swerve and miss her (older lady). Dont know if she didnt see me or didnt look. Heart was beating a bit faster for a while i can tell you. The tip is when you see a car parked on the side of the road with someone in it watch the wheels - if they start to move beware.

Yes very lucky indeed mate.

On the other hand, one of the 82yo Ulysses riders in Newcastle did exactly the same thing to a car one day... UHHGGG. He rode straight into the side door of a car going past.
Lucky he didn't move a few seconds earlier.

Close one zooka, had the same shit happen numerous times, the old "check their wheels " trick works every time. I've seen cars parked on the side at least 600 m up the road & then try to do a Kamikaze U turn right in front of me Confused

As insurance I slow 10 k's & cover the brakes too.........you can't trust these pot plants to do anything logical.
Never ride the A model of anything.

It's unbelievable!!!
Even in the work car (going faster than posted) its look, and watch everything, everywhere as it would/could happen in the blink of an eye.

No, the trick is;
1) Always ride with your high beam on during the day.

2) Go to Autopro, they've got these great dual electric Air Horns for $39.
Dump your stock Air Horn that sounds like a mouse beeping and is
approved by all Null & Void Australian/Chinese Communist Labor Party
Road & Traffic Authorities. Modify the bracket of the stock one with 2mm
ally plate and a drill. Install the relay, and wire the mutha in.
Then, whenever your steamin up the road and spot a prospective drunk
driver. Sound your cage driver blaster until your past her/him.

In Australia, sounding your blower is considered as an insult.
In Asia, sounding your blower is considered as courtesy.
Maybe the Commo Aussie Govt we got now should invest a few more million dollars in a cage driver horn blowing education program. Its OK, Crudd will have plenty of the ATP's money to spend soon, when he increases the income tax rate to 55% across the board and blames the financial crisis as a reason.

Great stuff. Defensive riding works! Keep an eye on everyone and try and pick the worst possibility, it will probably happen!
