mate - probably nothing to do with your noise but i had a knocking noise in the front of my 99 that could be heard when going over bumps - drove me mad - after i pulled the nose cone off it was a bloody hornets nest on one of the indcator wires. good luck on finding it - will be interested to know what it turns out to be. Check yuor front brake lines are clipped in correctly especially if you have fitted braided lines. They hit the front guard and make a noise over bumps.

Some of the early K8s had a slight clicking noise under light brakes when new.
After having the right side fairing removed and replaced for the first time. The noise on mine went away.

That is a perfect description of the sound my Gen2 has always had and still has. Gen1 no such sound but I bought it second-hand.

I've heard of people loosening then re-tightening the triple clamp and it goes away?

I've not had to do anything to get rid of the sound Tim. It just disappeared after what I thought was the first fairing removal but come to think of it. It may have been when the first front tyre was replaced.

Gday dawso When i got my 99 back off busgo after a week of riding it had a slight rattle in the front end i found it was the steering damper low on oil but after 115k it is to be expected after refilling damper noise was gone.just a thought cost nothing to check.cheers

Wiring, plugs sockets, there's lots under there that might be touching.

We are talking about a bike that is less than a year old here guys.
I don't think that steering damper or bearings is gonna be an issue for Dawso.
For older bikes maybe.. +
