Hello and by the way Transport companies suck

Hello and unfortunately I join your forum because of unfortunate circumstances, I found the forum while researching how much Hayabusa engines go for. My 99 Hayabusa which I bought new in 99 was damaged in transport from Perth to Darwin, the transport company paid me out but not really enough to return the bike to its former glory. So the bike is now up for Sale as a whole or in pieces (see my other post).

On the up side this does give me an excuse to upgrade to an 09 Hayabusa. So I will be scanning this forum on advice for pipes, full 4 into 1 for power rather than letting people now I am coming.

I am returning to Darwin for work, when I was last here they still had open speed limits, now its 130 how much does that suck!!! When I was here in 2000 I pasted another Hayabusa (gold colour) going the other way on Stuart Hwy just past Manton dam, I was doing 290ish he/she must have been doing about the same, saw him/her for about 0.2 of a second. Wouldnâ€t happen to be anyone on this forum?

+1, Confused Had lot of trouble with Wridgeways for my move from Sydney to Perth. Distroyed by 3 seater sofa Pi_freak - once the deal is done and money is paid wont return any phone calls or emails. only good thing was that my Busa and my Car - trailer were safe.

Hello Jamie welcome to the club. Thx for the heads up about transport, I'm just looking for one of them to transport my busa from Sydney to the Sunshine coast. I will make sure to get it fully insured for the trip.

Usually if you choose a motorcycle transport company then there are no issues - you bike is automatically covered. its only when motorbikes are moved along with the house stuff that you need seperate insurance - this was from Ridgeways. BTW the company they used for motorcycle transport was great - will try and find out the name and post it here later.

Thx any info you could supply would be greatfully accepted, especially about the cost. I would love to ride it up here myself, just got one small problem at the moment, got the stitches out so it looks a little bit better now.

Fergusson's Specialist Motorcycle Transporters advertise in Rapid & from reports I've heard are pretty good. They transport race bikes etc, have roll on roll off service & run weekly between Adelaide Melbourne Canberra Sydney & Brisbane. B/H phone 03 9747 1666.

Thought it may help Steve.

( NB. I am in no way affiliated with or hold a vestered interest in this company )

http://www.au.cevalogistics.com/ are the company which moved my Bike, Car and Trailor from Sydney to Perth. Very good service - offcource I didnt contact them directly I gave the entire contract to Ridgeways.

BTW all the money you pay to Ceva - they will add 1000% to it and forward it to me....:). Hope this was true.

Best of luck with your move. I have thier Perth contact number with me. They are multi country - multi location company.

The best thing is they arrive on time for pick up, they delivery on time and Bike reached here days ahead of the actual schedule - Insurance Included in the move quote.

Cheers,

Bill
