Hey everyone!
OK we're back! It's that time again we are gearing up to run the Heavy Bus at the Texas Mile again March 27th to 29th. Our goals are a little more realistic this year and we are trying to get in to the 190's hopefully. To that end we have decided to offer a select few large Photographs of me and the Bus for sale. Hopefully this will help us raise the $395 to purchase ceramic wheel bearings and possibly some extra to help pay for Dyno tuning by Johnny Cheese in Austin. These photographs (yes it is a photograph NOT a poster) are printed on heavy photographic stock and are 2 foot X 3 foot(24" X 36"). These are high resolution professional Photographs. There will be a Photographers Logo(D&D Photo) on each Photo. There are however some options available, you can have the HeavyBus Racing logo added if you want, Sponsor Logo's if you want and I will gladly autograph them with anything you would like me to say(WITHIN REASON! No Forget about "Bob thanks for last night you were great!" it's not happening ![]() Below you will find a list of which Photographs are available. If you are interested let me know what Picture and if you want Logo's or not if you want an autograph or not and what you might like it to say. You can either post here or send me a P.M. with the information. Payment by PayPal is preferred although I can take a personal check or Money Order it will just delay shipping until it clears. Price is $50 US plus shipping for each Photograph. I might be able to do a small break for multiple purchases but it wouldn't be much. Thanks for all of your support so far! ![]() Out of 1097 members, I think that there may only be about 1000 interested in your offer. In that case I'll leave your girl on bike piccies up for people to consider supporting your worthy cause. ![]()

Photograph #9 ![]() Photograph #10 ![]() Photograph #11 ![]() Photograph #12 ![]() I realize these are a little pricey but this allows me to make about $20 a Photograph. If I manage to sell 20 of these I'll have ceramic bearings! If your not interested spread the word to fellow riders and point them to my website for the whole story. On a final note SRAD received a GoPro onboard video camera for his birthday so you all have live onboard video to look forward to! Marie HeavyBusRacing.com

Hey everyone
We have been promising a wheel balancer for a few weeks, well here it is. This was built from scrap. Left over 2" X 4" pieces, a few cut pieces of channel a few scrap brackets and some junk bearings. I realize Harbor Freight sells one for $50 and it's nicer but times are hard and $50 is alot of money. Bearings came out of old Alternators that SRAD scraps at work(stripped for aluminum and copper) But skateboard bearings would work just as well. Scrap wood was framed up to be square and level then screwed together with Drywall screws. Next the angle brackets were screwed to the top With 3.5" screws. Next step is bolting on the bearing carrier which is just something SRAD found 2 of in the scrap bin and drilled to fit. Lastly the bolts that the bearings run on are duplicated in several lengths so that different widths of wheel can be done. Extra bolts and bearings are stored below. If you never used one of these it's pretty simple just spin the wheel when it comes to a stop put a small amount of lead Top dead center. Spin again, when it stops adjust with more or less depending on where it stops. If it stops with the weight at the bottom them you added to much. Anyway here's a short clip of the balancer and the Mile. You know March is coming up pretty quick! Marie HeavyBusRacing.com ![]() |
