Garmin Sat Nav Mounted
#1
Hi All,
I have now completed my Sat Nav mounting. I have a Garmin Zumo 550 which I also use on my ST1300. You can see the Busa mounting in these pics.

The last pic shows an expanding collet I used to connect into the top of the steering stem for for the Ram Ball.
The wiring is neat and the audio output connects into an Autocom Pro.... Sound onthe move.

A neatly done installation - well done. That is the best mounting point as I see it. Nice mounting idea. I was thinking of a machined length of stainless steel but yours looks more secure.

I have been waiting for the Garmin Zumo 660 to be released here as it was supposed to be earlier this year. I have read there were/are a few issues with it, but a much more compact unit.

Very nice.

I have a similar setup which i bought from RAM mount. The problem is I'm using a phone with built-in GPS which promptly overheats when riding around in direct sunlight.

Hows this for a gps mount!! One of the members on Busanation made this himself. Only thing is it mounts on the top of your fork legs so you need to lower the front end a little.
Looks the goods though.
