Alienhead?
#1
G'Day all, just wondering how those using the Brocks Alienhead are

finding it as an all round exhaust.

1. Is it too loud (is that even possible)

1a. Does it get too much attention from the "Force"

2. How does it compare in power to standard syst, yoshi syst

etc..anyone done dyno comparison

3. Are you happy with the look...pretty subjective I know.

I've got the 1st(bestSFun_kickingroin) gen Bus with a Yoshi RS3

4-1 and it's time for a change. Exhaust only of coursePi_tongue

Hi Bone

Thought this would have been answered for you by now, here are my thoughts.

The Alien Head is loud, I dont have an exact decibel rating but I would suggest its louder than legal. A customer of mine has been pulled over with an Alien Head, the noise was noted by the officer but of more importance to him was the relationship of it and the passenger foot pegs.

A Noise Reducer is available for them, with a new design just being released.

Power wise all the 4 in to 1s are similar within a few HP of each other, whether Gen 1 or Gen 2. Unfortunately I havent come across a Dyno Comparison worthy of sharing.

When they came out the Alien head was probably the hottest look aroound, well in my mind anyway. They are probably better suited to the earlier models wih its polished finish although Black is available now for the newer models.

At the moment the R55 is a good alternative, similar size to the Alien head with a slightly better finish. Only advertised for the 08s but couldnt see it being too much trouble to fit up to the early models. The R55 would have similar noise issues due to its size.

Not sure how either would go on a long trip, might be alright with ear plugs.

Something completely different is the Tsukigi Cannon which wont be too everyones taste, very good quality with a street acceptable sound.

Hope that helps in your decision.

Thanks Shayne appreciate your answer. I'll have a look at the R55 (Yoshi I'm guessing??), same with the Tsukigi and report back. I like the look of the Alienhead as in particular it leaves the rear more exposed......need to do some more research........Cheers Bone!

No worries, there are a few good systems out there now, TiForce being one of them. Personal taste will be the driver ultimately.

"Bloody Hell" Shayne.......now I've got 2 choose between 2 exhausts and I haven't even checked the Tsukigi yet!! The R55 looks and sounds great as well.....definitely like look of the shorties, sound pretty ballsy too. Do you sell the Yoshis? if so how much?...Cheers Bone

Well I've got to say I'm pretty pleased, I checked the Tsukigi and It's not for me....so now it's only 2 options..1 too many. Any idea if the R55 only comes with the pigs tail mid pipe or will it slip on to the standard Yoshi SS mid pipe?? Lots of questions I know...Cheers Bone
