Hi Bill,
I don't know the number as I just copied from another thread. The original poster Monyx is from the ACT so presumably Redback is from there as well. If Resident e is interested in following this up he could PM Monyx for the number. Redback may then be able to recommmend someone in NSW (where Resident e lives). regards Steven

yeah not surprised - had to get a LH fairing for me copper about a grand so time ago. Had the bike since 99 and it has never fallen off the stand and i have never done the mod - maybe i will do it now - better late than never they say. baz
Mate - You did the right thing using the insurance, otherwise whats the use in paying for it and you'll forget the pain when you get her back all new i always make sure it's in gear after i turn the engine off. Haven't had one fall yet

Ive done the stand mod and always park in gear - doesn't everyone? I turn the engine off by putting down the stand so always in gear.
The only other checking I do is if the bike is facing down hill a little I make sure the slack is taken out of the gears so it wont have nay chance of rolling forward.

Got another call today from the bloke fixing it, and yes there will be awiat for some parts which will take atleast 4week to get in. im getting withdrawels everytime these a nice day, its just killing me. cuz i know when i get the bike back the weather will turn shit. Why not take the fairings off and ride her naked while you wait? I've done that in the past while getting a panel plastic welded? They look a bit funny, but the engine sounds GREAT!

Residente,
Install the Oggis anyway. dropping it once doesn't garantee tht you wont do it again. |
