As most busa riders don't turn up to rides coz they're too busy defending their habit against the kumansukme zx1.4, grabbing a couple of euro bike mags should get your load off, and then get you off the stats crap for good and back to riding.
I've always noted how UK knobs will defend a zx12 and now a zx14 until they're up to their necks in glory (that's UK glory which for those that win know as gutless whiny failings). Well it's about time some pommy git with the brain cell over there finally did some research. They but the new busa on a dyno and were ,,,,, amazed? Noting the stats that fasterfaster has already displayed, there are no surprises south of the equator. The new busa is the FIRST mass produced bike (note I did not write production bike for all you super hard wankers) to pull harder than all of you put together at a fair dinkum (not the term used in rainville) 180 RWHP. To say the chip munching pale skins were shocked and stoked is like saying a the Ducati Tricolore is hotter than a bath tub full of Kylie's (of course it is, and of course the gits were impressed). Especially as the out of the crate busa will do sub 10s quarters, no mods. The only bike to do it out of the crate, even against that drag bike from seppo land with a screaming plover on the tank (correct me if I'm wrong WSID members).
So now the world knows absolutely, definitively and with extreme prejudice. The busa is not the king, it's the damn EMPEROR!
(PS still prefer my dutchess. What a kitten. Complete sex, when she idles it's like foreplay. )
You ought to give up your day job, and write for $$!
Good work!

Welcome back Exocet. (Or is is sadsack?)
Nice post coming form an ex Busa owner/rider.
I hope you're not running the touring Pirelli's on the Duke! (priceless)
I hope all is well in the cold sterile place.
Cheers, Phil. "Your dry clutch is Very Boring"

Sadsack? I've lost 5 grand at turn 12 Eastern Creek (998 a bit rougher looking on he left side) and for 38 grand managed to emulate the old busa.
'03 busa with 155 RWHP - $18,000
airbox, de-restricted and tune for 168 RWHP - $1,000
'02 998 with 125 RWHP - $24,000
smash it at EC - $5,000
Pickup the 1098S Tricolore with 160 RHP - $38,500
Run-in, fit 102dB Termi's and chip for 170 RWHP - $500
Not eating cheesecake for breakfast, lunch and tea - PRICELESS
Not being able to buy a house coz I spent the deposit -
But hey, you can't ride a house!

The bugger ran away to Queensland to buy his tricolor as he knew the Canberra Buses would run him to ground in short time around the Cotter! '
Bloody thing does sound fast though - photos must be in order!

Yet to get those. I think Dainese make some Ducati gear but I won't be getting it in a hurry. The banana two-piece will have to do for the time being, albeit a mash banana after a role through the kitty litter.
I gave the Tri a little squirt the other day (still running in). After being away from serious HP for a year, the feeling of body being way out in front of the mind was all too exhilarating.
Gee Gdy, there's just no pleasing some people..... Getting a red duke would be like getting a copper busa. Might be the original, but they look like .... The red 1098 really does look too red.
Anyway, between now and getting Dainese leathers, I might just stop at a busa jacket from Rocket.
