Apart from ornage peel, lots of dust etc in clear coat. mate i've got a friend who does a lot of custom air work here in melbourne and he outsources all the clear coating. you might want to ask him if he did it or if he got another shop to do the clear coating and let him know whats stuffed with it. just my 2cents but clearing dust out of closs coat is going to take heaps of work and you are likely to take off too much, especially if theres heaps of orange peel too...

Told me he was doing it in a biooth, but I guarantee he didn't!
But I've just about given up, trying to find someone who will do the job right is hard. Might end up getting clears done again I think.

Revit, long time no hear! Well, one of the depressing things about what was a minor rebuild is the time lost at the strip.
I'd say it won't be next week, but after that. As for the wheels, well, I just put yres on them (roadies) so they'll be normal wear and the track slicks are coming off another pair of rims as they've gone past their use by date. So, I'll have two spare sets of rims. One of the backs will get a fresh shinko, but if you want to play with a pair of wheels with some paint..... All I want at the end of the day is one standard set of gear to restore the copper/silver when it's restored. The paint job is great really, except for the detail, and that's what I'm a bit anal about. I'm seriously thinking of gerry rigging some sort of spray booth for the next set. Tired of people not doing the job they are paid to do 100%. The tank mod looks mint (funny to see the 08 tank has had nothing at all done to it! Just unbolted the small side plastic pieces), and the air shifter fitted well (not tried yet of course). Lights are just waiting, and I'm conidering a few wiring mods to turn off headlights while racing. For a big bike, there's not many holes to hide stuff. I like the new rad bottle location for the 08! The clutch slave billet cover is a nice piece of work......just need a hair drier for it now! I'd say I'll be pushing to get into low 10s now I've been away so long. Is there a Revit day at the strip this season?

Here's a bit more detail of how I think Suzuki should finish the tank. Ignore the orange peel, that will go!
Hard to photograph black things isn't it? The Kanji symbol is "Bear" airbrushed in courtesy of a template from GlenTC, (thanks!)

I need a Shinko too, but.....Bike is complete at long last!!
Final photos attached. Mind you still needs petrol and I forgot to put the drain and breather lines on the tank! Also think the very top steel arm of the frame (bit that holds mirro) is pushed in a bit. Landed on that side. Can't see it, but the two panels around the dash were tighter than before. Mods were to the tank (filled the back part of the seam), filled the seam in the front guard for the smooth look. Removed the grills up front. LED indicators and led tail light that also has indicators in it, billet slave cylinder housing, polished stator cover, polished clutch centre piece and air shifter (not gassed yet so....). Wheels partly polished and painted. No stickers, all symbols done with paint. Just has Hayabusa Kanji on fairing sides and above tail light. Plus the kanji for Bear on the tank. Oh and HID lights now as well. Previous mods are Pair system junked, 4 into 1 titanium zorst, air box mod, lowering link (own design), straps and lowering blocks (not fitted for photos) up front, power commander, BLT replaced with solid pieces and heavier springs.....forgot the rest!
