Ditto with the BUGGER bloke....
The lead to the bars is the answer if parked out in public. Better safe than sorry, I reckon.
Don't hesitate to hit the insurance up. That is what it is for mate.

Fucknuckle. let me know if u need any CHEAP parts Max.
Oh Max!!! Thats very not good. Tony has nearly done that twice so I decided to by a lanyard to goes up from the lock to the handle bar. Being bright orange also helps.
bad luck there max hope it aint as bad as it seems for you but after the other thread on the broken front guard why do people still use those fucken things I really have never seen the reasoning behind them the grip lock i use does the same thing it locks the brakes onto the fron wheel thus eliminating the ease of rolling the bike away if the thief is going to lift the front wheel and carry it well both locks wont work then
THROW THE FUCKEN THING AWAY and the bright strap that goes with it and never have that empty feeling happen again when you see your pride and joy fall to the ground i had it once but that was the rolling off the side stand episode

Man that sucks...... if you do use a disk lock --- do as one of the other posters suggest -- have a strap that goes to your handle bars OR look for the disk lock that has an alarm on it --- when the bike becomes level it screams off its nut - so unless you have an mp3 player in your ear at 1000 DB you should be able to hear it ....
Of if your really clever make a switch that goes to the stand switch so that if you put your bike into gear whilst the disk lock is on, the motor automatically cuts out

Hey Max,
Very sad to hear. If you want, I can come over Wednesday morning and bring you some bar ends.
I might start using my bright orange "Remove before flight" tag I've got a lot more often.
Regards,
Busdriver (aka Les)
Bugger mate you had me worried when I read the dropped bike heading. Glad your ok.
I have a full spare set of bodywork with only mild rashing. Let me know if you need it or need a hand with anything.
