They're not the "Avon - AV59/AV60 Sport" s mate. probably more aimed at the touring niche than ours!
The old Viper now Sport is just incredible with the right psi's in them, and shockers with the wrong pressure, not unlike most sports orientated bike tyres I suggest.
Hey Ruffy, "You go where you look" were words Robbie Phillis spoke 20 + years ago mate. I heard him loud and clear. I concentrate on my line, staying the f*** away from those little cats eye things that will throw you down the road if you hit them cranked over and praying that cars entering from the right side of the entry where both lanes converge, aren't overcooking the corner themselves as that will bring them straying onto my side of the road.
A bit mute mate as I wont be cooking into that particular corner on the edge until the weather warms up again. On the way home from work at 0600hrs this morning there was a typical Canberra fog, wet road and the temperature was sitting on about 3 degrees - all the factors that make cornering distinctly hazardous to us.

Even the old boy loves them.You can stick your key on them cold, if thats any indication.More wheelies from grip and potentially more headshakes from the taller rear.Will help correct speedo or run a 41 tooth to put you fractionally taller than stock.Very nice steering.

I got 5,200 kays out of this last rear Viper. Mixed riding, Had it put on just before Brent and I headed south for Rocket Rod's Ride 2 months ago, where did the time fly?
Anyway, it did the ride to Melbourne, highway into Mexico, then to Whitfield and across the top to the Spur, then Melbourne. Two months of commuting in Canberra, then last weekend down to the Island with spirited riding through the Snowy to Albury then more spirited riding through every corner in Victoria, or did it just feel that long a ride??
Home along the highway at pretty decent speeds to get here for my little girl's 16th birthday.
Got it sideways under the gun on the way to work last week, definitely time to replace.
Went to my local tyre dealer (specialist) who looked at the worn out hoop and suggested a Storm not be prudent and to stay with the Viper. $279 fitted and balanced. Not arguing.
Go the mighty Viper!

I just bought the Avon Extreme 190 x55 I get them fitted next week i will let u know if there any good.

I'm still running the 180 for easier tip in, it will be good to hear if the Extreme can run up and down brick walls or not, they are very sticky to say the least. Is it for a track day Ray?

No for the street Max.
Didnt get the Avons had none till next year,so i got Super coarser Sc1 front and Sc2 rear 190x55's $??? a set at Rays discount man.
Any one in Sydney who want to buy a set of tyers and have them fitted yourselves i can help u out.

Well, I'm still happy with my Avon Storms. in 190/50.

is that the pilot sport HPX? apparently they are way too hard a compound for good cornering. With 180 though, I had a similiar experience on the FZR. 180/55 Pilot Road 2ct. Was wiggling around when I realised I was going off the edge.
I would really recommend the Pilot Power 2ct, I've heard good stuff about them from everyone. But, if you can find any reputable sport tyre in a 190/55 i reckon that'd suit you perfectly Max.

Love the Vipers mate. They hand on like shit to a blanket, and I get over 5k out of them. Wont ever use a Pilot Sport in 180 again strangely shaped beads at the edge, that's probably the problem.
As long as there Vipers I'll be using them.
