I have yoshi r 3 carbon and as far as I know fuel mappin is not neccesary unless full system installed but me no expert also sound is mad and I gain about 3.5hp and they look heaps nice Im planing to do the same for my new 08 model.
It depends on the purpose tho, if you wanan put on some good numbers on dyno and lose some decent Kgs go with the full system but i personally wouldn't do it to my bike as I like twin pipe look way better than just 1 pipe it kinda wrecks look of the massive beast

prefer the 2 gun look too, have Remus great sounding cans no longer made. doesnt need re-mapping. if you go for 4into1 id suggest a dyno with mapping.

I was wondering the same thing...
I got 2nd hand cans off Achillies (they are great)...and was wondering what i should do.. I got my bike services today and spoke to graeme morris the other day.. He "had" the only dyno in newcastle till the storms...and is waiting on the latest dyno from america to get shipped... Anyway....he said that the stock bike would be able to cope with new bolt ons...but if i added a k&n air filter to it then i would only create a flat spot somewhere, hence needing the PC.... FYI...i recorded the stock sound and also the new sound on my pda...i will downloaded them and post them if anyone is interested.. Kawasuki...where did you get your rear exhuas mounts from...i want to get my pipes higher and they look like the do a great job holing it in place aswell as looking sweet...?? Cheers

You guys know the factory ecu is reprogrammable + or - 10% which can cover a bit of modification before needing a PC, only prob is not all workshops have a reprogrammer so they will try to sell a PC , and some bikes need more than a reprogramme to get right.

i have a set of tsukigi slips on and the sound difference from stock is uncanny. I love em, didn't get any remapping or dyno work and i haven't noticed any negatice effects.
I have noticed an increase in fuel economy, slightly better breathing by the old girl and a lot more heads turning to see what the fark is coming down the road.... hahahah cheers Rob gixxer Wrote:I was wondering the same thing... Hey Gixxer, ![]() Graeme Morris used to have a good dyno but the best in Newcastle is BIKECARE at Adamstown. Run by Jamie and Harry. Most of the busa owners in Newcastle go there for service and dynos. Bikecare will try to convince you to get a PC, but you don't really need one.

and I prefer the BMC Race (Red) air filter. Mines been in almost 5 years now still looks like new.

I run the BMC filter, a pair of Yoshi RS-3 Stainless cans and I've never had to worry about the ECU. Looks good, runs smooth, sounds tough and goes hard enough for me. If anything it is a little thirstier than some others I talk to.

I just got a service done by my local Suz dealer - they told me that PS in Melb should have hooked the standard ECU up to the Yoshi tuning box to remap it for the slip-on R22s that I had fitted. Unfortunately, PS are crap and they didn't bother (and still charged me $125 for fitting) so the guys here are going to do it for me... For 50 bucks of course. They recently hooked up a GSXR1000 and remapped it and the owner said it was a huge difference.
GlenTC and slowandsteady can tell you how good the PDI was on my bike. ![]()

Yep.
Standard PS Pre-delivery. Got the 1st yr apprentice to walk around and stripe all the nuts and bolts with Liquid Paper and then tick everything off as done..... About as good as their Service Department..... I've got Yoshi TRS cans on mine and am looking at getting the stock ECU remapped. I've heard the mapping from the factory leaves a bit to be desired.......now I just need to decide where to go. Balls or Dynoverks.... I personally don't see the need for a PCIII for a stocker with slip-ons but each to their own.
