my brother is buying a zx14 (2008)

Now that im waiting for my 08 busa my brother, who was intending to buy a triumph st sprint has changed his mind and wants an zx14 the new model Scary , reason being (i think) that he dont like to ride a less powerful bike than his brother and he wants to be different so thats why hayabusa is out of the question. well at least makes it easier to do proper comparisons between the two beasts,(i will keep you updated ) when the time comes... and personally i think they both good bikes but busa is better and ...faster! Was down at Race Replica getting s new throttle cable set for my wife's ZZR and they offered me a ride of their "demo" 14. Heading down this week.
Apparently it's had the butterfly valve mod and a full single system/PCIII and dyno map done. Should be fun, but can't help thinking that they're possibly "selling" this as what a stock 14 is like.......

Yep, and he will see soon enough that he chose not so wisely.

lol.

Met a guy at the servo this arvo (yep thread hijacking in progress) who had ridden his 1000s Duc all the way over from Perth for the MotoGP.
I asked him how long he thought it would take to get the feeling back in his arse/neck/wrists.[/quote]

Impressive ! you can see how he is toying with the zx14 !
look at the revs, first in the solo run he buries the needle deeper in the 4th and 5th ,with the kwaka he actually has to short change and ease off ,the revs stay stationary for 2-3 seconds in the fifth, to keep him in the front and in the camera Yes

in certain parts it looked like the busa had more to give.... i wonder if the kwaka did? you'll be the man to find out! ;)

Yep. I dont think we need to worry too much about the new zx14 there has only been minor improvements done to it,new exhaust is propably the main source of its power increase, but as you said i will find out pretty soon fair and square
By the way ,went to springwood suzuki this morning and still no word on when... Drool but hopefully beginning of the month they start arriving.

Too hard to tell whether the 14 is on it hard or not, they seemed to both be playing around a bit. I think it'd still be neck & neck, the 14 did seem to pull away at parts...

Even in the flesh? The plastic looks cheap on the kwaka IMHO.
