From what I've read in the posts in this discussion, no one has accepted that this "art" is ok.
They have merely pointed out that we should keep an open mind about what is and isn't art and condemn child pornography.

For those who care about the nature of this debate, the ABC discussed the issue on "A Current Affair" tonight and will broadcast a documentary about the artist and his work at 10pm tonight.

What amazes me is the ignorance of some on this forum some want to kill,gas or strangle this bloke when In reality this guy had the parents permission.Are they responsible????How much did they get paid????Where they there when the shoot was happening?????Alot of ???????? need to be answered before we start throwing the first stone.I did not hear anyone saying that these kids where at gun point or the parents sued this bloke for provocative exposure of a minor.I have no tolerance for child molesters,where I come from we usually deal with it the proper way.On the other hand the authorities here should prosecute these Aussies which go to Bali and thailand for their little romps with their favourite boy promoting this disease and than bringing their illegal habits and hardon's back home..........Its as common as sparrow shit and the authorities do fcuk all to stop this fcukin behavior.I am a strong believer in child protection/safety and yes I have offered my knowledge and time to dispose of these social lepers. I have been reading all the opinions above, and have so far elected to keep quiet-ish. I would like to offer our 0.02c worth on this topic as we are being affected by a similar situation at the moment.

Vaguely speaking, and I cannot elaborate - yet, a person in a position of power abused that power, and in doing so abused one of the children. The person flatly denies doing it, however there was witnesses to the event and the conduct of the victim the few days after it. The perp has been charged by police, so we go back through the court systems..we are now in 2 court juristictions, again. The downside to this, apart from the affect it has had on the victim the witnesses and our family, are that we know that the punishment will not fit the crime.

We have had a lot of the thoughts above, ie the 9mm, the drum, and when we were told of what happened the person was at the end of the street, I was keen to try and fit a motor car up his arse. I chose not to do that though because then I have to face charges too, and you can bet that for a first offence I would get Bubba and the perp would get the wet bus ticket.

We do not agree with naked photos of children being taken, whether you call it art or not but if the artist gets charged then the parents of these children should also be charged as accessories to the fact.
